About Pat

Patrick Mazza.
Pat, in conversation.

Executive coach and founder of Evolution Mentor. The work begins with the person carrying the responsibility, not just the title on the door.

A little room
to hear yourself think.

Leadership can leave you surrounded by people and short of places to speak plainly. Your team needs direction. Your partners want a decision. The people closest to the situation may each have something at stake.

Pat founded Evolution Mentor around a different kind of conversation: one in which a leader can test an assumption, say the uncomfortable part aloud and consider an action before taking it.

His focus is the practical side of development. The meeting you need to run differently. The colleague whose feedback you have dismissed. The decision you are keeping because giving it away feels uncomfortable.

What the coaching asks of you

Bring a real situation. Be willing to examine your contribution to it. Try something between conversations and return with an honest account of what happened. Progress becomes easier to see when the work is specific enough to practise.

Patrick Mazza and Pat Mazza

Patrick Mazza is the full name used on this site; Pat Mazza is the shorter name used in the coaching practice. Evolution Mentor is the coaching name. Enquiries from the United States and elsewhere are welcome, with format and availability discussed before an engagement is agreed.

A considered fit

You should be able
to ask good questions
of your coach, too.

Ask what the work will involve, how progress will be reviewed, what confidentiality means and when another form of support would be more appropriate. A coaching conversation should be specific enough to evaluate before you commit.

No one introduction can establish fit. Use the first discussion to understand the approach and decide whether it makes sense for your circumstances.
